Why are you involved with the Lake Erie Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association?
Since graduation, I never became very involved as an alum. In recent years, my cousin, Anne Eisert (who is very involved) invited me to events and encouraged me to get involved. I found that it’s a great way to meet new people, build relationships, and rekindle my Penn State pride!
What is your favorite Penn State moment?
A moment doesn’t exactly stand out for me, but I have very fond memories of time spent with my Theta Phi Alpha sisters. Graduation is was a great memory!
What do you like most about your career?
I’m not always doing the same thing every day, it’s a great work environment, and Larson Texts is a great company to work for.
What are your hobbies?
running, reading, four-wheeling with the hubby, snuggling with my dogs Max & Daisy
Where else do you volunteer?
Grape Country Marketplace in North East, worship team at East Lake Road Alliance Church
What is your favorite restaurant in Erie/Crawford/Venango?
That’s tough. I love food! I really like Joe Roots Grill, Torrero’s, Chopstix, and Mad Mex
One piece of career advice to recent Penn State graduates:
Get out and get involved….volunteer, join young adult/professional groups...get to know people and build relationships.
Why should alumni get involved with LEC-PSAA?
We organize some really fun events and it’s a great way to be involved in the community.
Why should alumni meet you?
Prior to joining the team at Larson Texts two years ago, I worked as the Editor of the North East News-Journal for nearly 12 years. I have a great deal of knowledge and experience with writing, editing, layout and design, publishing, problem solving, troubleshooting, and project planning and execution.
