We are looking for more people to join the Lake Erie Chapter Board of Directors. If you love Penn State, would like to get more involved with the Nittany Nation community, and would like to help us raise scholarship monies for deserving area Penn State students - then we would love for you to join us! We have a lot of opportunities for you to get involved and give back. If you have any questions, please contact Scott Nick at 814-449-8445 for more information.

Penn State Night at the Erie SeaWolves
Join fellow Penn State fans and LEC-PSAA members for a summer night of baseball and fun on Thursday, July 9th at UPMC Park!
Watch the Erie SeaWolves take on the Harrisburg Senators with first pitch at 6:05 p.m. It’s also Two Buck Thursday and Small Business Night, so you can enjoy classic ballpark favorites like Smith’s hot dogs, popcorn, 12 oz Pepsi fountain drinks, and select domestic draft beers—all for just $2 each.

Summer BBQ
The Lake Erie Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association is proud to announce our 2026 Alumni Barbeque, set for Saturday, August 8th at Penn State Behrend.
This year’s event promises to be especially memorable as we celebrate the 40th anniversary of Penn State’s 1986 National Championship football team, one of the most iconic seasons in program history.
We are honored to welcome Coach Tom Bradley as our Guest of Honor. Coach Bradley, a cornerstone of Penn State football for decades, played an integral role in that championship era and continues to represent the tradition, discipline, and excellence that defines Penn State football. Coach Bradley is currently a co-host of the weekly show Nittany Game Week.
The Alumni Barbeque has long been a highlight of the summer for our chapter, bringing together alumni, families, and friends for an evening of great food, camaraderie, and Penn State pride. This year’s celebration will offer a unique opportunity to reflect on a championship legacy while reconnecting with fellow Nittany Lions here in the Erie community.
Additional event details, including timing and registration information, will be shared in the coming weeks. We hope you’ll mark your calendar and plan to join us for what promises to be a special day.
We also received great feedback last year on the menu selection therefore, we plan to keep the same BBQ theme for this event. The menu will consist of Beef Brisket, BBQ Chicken Quarters, Corn on the Cob, Baked Potato, Corn Bread Muffins, Soft Drinks, Wine, Beer, and a Penn State Ice Cream Bar for dessert!!

RAFFLE ITEM DONATIONS ARE NOW BEING ACCEPTED! We are looking for members to donate (or convince area businesses to donate) items for the silent auction. Typical items would include: Penn State apparel (hats, shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, etc.); Penn State collectibles (prints, pictures, books); a pair of tickets to a game that you can’t attend; a round of golf at an area golf course; other non-Penn State items (gift cards to stores or restaurants, art work, holiday-related items, a bottle of wine from a local winery, etc.). In order to prepare for the auction, we humbly request that you send us the information about all the items to be auctioned by August 1st.
