Alumni Donate Time and Energy to Greater Erie Habitat for Humanity
The Penn State Alumni once again stepped up and volunteered their labor on Saturday, March 11th. The crew doggedly nailed ‘hurricane’ straps securing walls to roof trusses on a cold Saturday morning in a house being built by Habitat for Humanity. Other rough carpentry work was performed as well. The house is being built for a refugee family from the Congo. Upon completion, the family will assume a 30-year, interest free mortgage to repay Habitat for Humanity for the cost of construction.
