Why are you involved with the Lake Erie Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association? I chose to be involved because Penn State has given me so much: good times, lots of memories, and an education that has enabled me to thrive in my career. Now it’s my turn to give back.
What is your favorite Penn State moment? 1990 Penn State-Notre Dame football game
What do you like most about your career? We have a diverse customer base with many different types of applications. There is always an opportunity to learn something new.
What are your hobbies? Running in races (5k, 10k, half marathon, and obstacle course races), craft beer tasting, wine tasting, and trivia games/trivia nights at bars/restaurants.
Where else do you volunteer? I don’t really volunteer very much on a regular basis, which is part of the reason why I chose to be involved with LEC-PSAA.
What is your favorite restaurant in Erie/Crawford/Venango? Voodoo Erie (Thursday night taco and trivia).
One piece of career advice to recent Penn State graduates: After graduation, it took me a while to find my way career-wise. If you’re not happy with your first employer/job, don’t be afraid to look elsewhere. I stayed in my previous job too long and it made me miserable.
Why should alumni get involved with LEC-PSAA? It is a good way to give back and connect with other proud Penn State alumni.
Why should alumni meet you? In my career, I have made a lot of professional connections, so I can help other alumni make professional connections or change jobs/careers. Also, I have a lot of experience in project management in my career, so I can use those skills with LEC-PSSA to help coordinate and plan events.
