Why are you involved with the Lake Erie Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association?
To stay connected to and meet local Penn State alumni and stay involved with Penn State activities, such as Penn State football watching parties. I also joined because of the Chapter’s dedication to providing scholarships for local students to attend Penn State.
What is your favorite Penn State moment?
There are too many to pick just one. There have been some moments during this past football season that are right up there though.
What do you like most about your career?
I love the personal aspect of being able to build and develop client relationships. It’s also amazing to be able improve a client’s financial situation and help them achieve their goals.
What are your hobbies?
I enjoy golfing and beach volleyball during the warms months and duckpin bowling during the winter months. In addition to rooting on the Penn State sports teams I also closely follow all three Cleveland teams.
What is your favorite restaurant in Erie/Crawford/Venango?
Venango Valley Inn and Golf Course
One piece of career advice to recent Penn State graduates:
Try to meet as many people as possible and network. Many of the best opportunities come from networking and who you know instead of listed job openings.
Why should alumni get involved with LEC-PSAA?
It’s a great way to stay connected to the Penn State community by attending or getting involved with numerous social, athletic and community service events.
Why should alumni meet you?
For any recent graduate in the business field, or finance in particular: I have had experience in both the corporate and personal sides of finance and would be happy to discuss the pros, cons and opportunities of each. I also have worked with multiple companies in the financial planning industry and remain in contact with decision makers who are often looking to hire financial advisors with the proper qualifications directly from college.
For other Penn State alumni: As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ I have knowledge and experience in numerous financial areas. I am more than happy to meet with anyone interested in financial planning or those with financial questions or concerns. I don’t charge a fee for meetings or qualified financial planning.
